As part of her work in the Committee on women’s rights and gender equality, it was important for MEP Rafaela to go in discussion with the several women’s organizations we are doing the ground work in the Netherlands. The event was hosted by the WO-MEN Dutch Gender Platform in the Hague. During Parliaments recess she was able to get more closely to the work that is being done in terms of women, peace and security. The participants spoke to MEP Rafaela about the importance of continuous support for these organizations and the involvement of more women in shaping policies and legislation.
