Member of European Parliament (MEP) Samira Rafaela made a visit on the 26th of August 2020 to the Voice of Afghan Women organization. Under the leadership of Jamila Talla en Tahmina Ashraf , the women’s organisation was set up and is managed by Afghan refugee women . The organization does excellent work on the topics of empowerment of refugee and migrant women in the area’s such as Rotterdam.
MEP Samira Rafaela is the coordinator of the Committee on women’s rights and gender equality within the Renew Group. During her visit she spoke to the organization and her members about her work within the European Parliament and the opportunities for cooperation the European Parliament has to offer.
