Soho House interviewed Samira Rafaela about how it is to be a millennial in politics
Representation of women in politics has improved, but the urgency of participation of more women and girls in politics remains. Women, especially women of colour, face obstacles that may make it more difficult to get involved.
One of these obstacles is online hate speech, which can lead to self-censorship and prevent women from speaking out against and address urgent issues such as sexism.
It is one of Renew Europe’s objectives to tackle online hate speech, in order to create a safe space within the political arena.
