Op woensdag 23 juni sprak Samira Rafaela over het belang van seksuele en reproductieve gezondheid en rechten voor vrouwen.
Helaas blijven conservatieve krachten, ook in de EU, deze fundamentele rechten van vrouwen ontkennen. Tijdens het plenaire debat kwam naar voren dat zelfs vrouwelijke Europarlementariërs hieraan bijdragen. Samira Rafaela sprak deze collega’s hier op aan. Alle Europese burgers hebben recht op zeggenschap over hun eigen lichaam, seksuele voorlichting, toegang tot moderne anti-conceptie en menstruatieproducten, en veilige abortushulpverlening.
