On Wednesday the 23th of June, Samira Rafaela spoke about the importance of sexual and reproductive health and rights for women.
Conservative movements in Europe are still trying to delegitimize women’s rights to make decisions about their own sexual rights. During the plenary debate, it became clear that even female colleagues in the European Parliament contribute to this. Samira Rafaela addressed this worrying behaviour. All European citizens have the right to control over their own bodies, sexual education, access to modern contraception and menstrual products, and safe abortion care.
